Workshops

Registration is always open for the following workshops [unless otherwise noted] where personal instruction is available at a location in southern New Jersey; alternatively the instructor can easily travel to you though the cost of doing so will be added to the tuition.

  • Sideshow 101:  Extensive learning course that offers insight to the fundamentals of the following Working Acts: Human Blockhead, Mental Floss, Bed of Nails, Ladder of Swords and more, taught by Coney Island Sideshow School Alumni and Guinness World Record Holder.  Includes detailed information on how to fabricate props, develop a character and pitch the acts, as well as tips on marketing, promotion and having a presence on social media.  Due to the physical involvement of some of the acts, a Hold Harmless agreement must be signed and submitted with tuition before the workshop can actually begin.

Tuition is $300 and a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to be paid in full at least one week prior to set date of workshop, with the balance being paid on the date prior to beginning of instruction.

  • Fire Arts:  Extensive learning course that offers insight to the fundamentals of eating, handling and breathing fire with ease taught by Coney Island Sideshow School Alumni who has successfully coached both notable sideshow performers and individuals interested in learning the craft for personal pleasure.  Includes detailed information on how to fabricate torches, staffs, fans, poi, and other implements and an extensive lecture on fire safety.  Due to the severity of learning this act, a Hold Harmless agreement must be signed and submitted with tuition before the workshop can actually begin.

Tuition is $150 and a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to be paid in full at least one week prior to set date of workshop, with the balance being paid on the date prior to the beginning of instruction.

Please use the contact form below if you are interested in participating in one of these workshops, or if you have any questions about the information presented here.
